I need all the help I can get.
I just joined this site because loosing weight has got to be one of the hardest things i’ve ever had to do. I’m addicted to food. I’m constantly thinking about food and every single part of eating pleasures me. i’m talking about touching food or picking it up, moving it to my mouth, chewing and tasting and swallowing. I’m crazy about eating and i can’t stop. and it doesn’t help that my mother will bring up two chocolate cakes instead of carrots and salad. When i see food i feel like i need it more than anyone else does and i’ll shove as much of it in my face as possible. But then i feel guilty everytime i eat. My boyfriend is helping me work out in the gym, but he repremands me if he doesn’t think i’m working hard enough. I need as much help from ANYONE as i can get. Any suggestions or tips will be tried i’m so desperate to loose weight. Please help me help myself!

First and foremost welcome. We can all understand the love to eat. Many of us have spent pretty much our whole lives eating LOL. The biggest advice I can give you is to figure out why eating plays such a big part of your life. What are you trying to avoid by eating food. Next start finding ways to enjoy food that won’t hurt your waist line. For example, when shopping for food be sure to always check labels. You will want to watch your sodium level as well as your caloric intake. You may also want to join a site like www.sparkpeople.com. I personally love this site because when you put in your food it will tell you where you at with consumption of sodium, calories, and anything else you want it to. You can do it. However you must want to do it for you and no one else.
I agree with the above. You shouldn’t feel bad about eating. You should enjoy eating within limits. If you live with your mother, talk to her about your weight loss desires. She should back you 100%. Then maybe together you can plan healthier meals & snacks for the whole family. If you live alone, stock your cabinets with healthier versions of your favorites. There are all sorts of things you can. AND this is a wonderful place to start. buddyslim has terrific ppl and you will find lots of support & advice.

Hi, I’m new here and I wish you the best of luck with all your goals. I agree with telling your mom and maybe even talking things over with your boyfriend. Maybe tell him to take it easy for the first couple of weeks with being hard on you and see if you can get results that way. And make your plan and try to achieve a few goals this week and build from there. Research what works and what doesn’t. Good luck!
You know I feel the same way. most days I am filling time between meals. I wish I knew what the hell that was all about, but I still haven’t figured it out. But I do come here and I strive every day to make the best decisions concerning my diet as I can. You have taken the first step. This site is a great support system.
